Beyond the Brickworks Films

You are invited to a special red carpet screening of Beyond the Brickworks Films.

15th of November 2011, 7.30pm

at The Berry Theatre, Hedge End.

There will be a special presentation of awards and copies of the films to all the participants involved in the project.

Admission is free and a bar will be open for refreshments.

Doors open at 7pm

Beyond the Brickworks is a Hidden Histories project supported by the Heritage Lottery Fund. Over three weeks young people from Solent Youth Action made films about the Bursledon Brickworks, the last steam driven brickworks in the UK.

They worked with filmmakers, The Butterfly Fx, to portray the working life of the site, through animations and drama reconstructions. The testimonies of former employees were recorded to understand how the site used to work and capture their experiences.
